Description

We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Scientist-Sustaining and Support to join our dynamic interdisciplinary start-up. The successful candidate will take a lead in sustaining and support activities for Clear Labs’ automated food safety products as well as participating in product development activities.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Internally lead investigation and troubleshooting of field issues, engaging the broader R&D team as needed
  • Participate in post-launch monitoring of product performance and be proactive about identifying critical issues
  • Lead and manage post-launch product changes and contribute to continuous product improvement
  • Work closely with Field Application Support (FAS) group
  • Participate in CAPA investigations and resolution
  • Document and communicate lessons learned to guide future product improvements
  • Produce technical documentation for customers as needed
  • Participate in development and V&V activities
  • Lead and perform risk analyses and creation of test plans, procedures and reports
  • Be both a strong individual contributor as well as a collaborative team member
  • Conduct clear and concise communication with colleagues (cross-functional) and supervisors through oral updates, written reports and technical meeting

Requirements

  • PhD in molecular biology, genetics, genomics, microbiology or related field
  • 3 or more years of assay development experience in commercial product development or industrial setting, with at least one year in a product support role
  • Strong background in microbiology, genomics and molecular biology
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and successfully troubleshoot complex issues
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing and library preparation
  • Experience with automation a plus
  • Desire to be part of a fast-paced dynamic research and development environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional setting
